Juvederm is a "next generation" dermal filler that consists of a smooth HA gel. This gives the face a smooth and natural looking appearance by softening fine lines and folds and restoring lost volume, while providing a smooth, natural look and feel. With Juvederm we can fill lines, wrinkles, folds and scars, increase and enhance the volume of your lips, revitalize and re-hydrate the skin, enhance the cheekbones and soften facial contours. Most patients see results immediately after, with results lasting for 6-9 months or longer.

This biocompatible gel is designed with 3 different particle sizes that are utilized for different purposes, such as eliminating fine lines, enhancing facial contours (i.e.; jaw lines and cheekbones), adding volume and evening out lips. Results may last between 3-6 months or longer.

Radiesse is a "next generation" dermal filler that is composed of synthetic calcium hydroxylapetite (CaHA) microspheres, suspended in a water based gel carrier. This product is synthetic and naturally compatible to the body; therefore no pre-testing is required. Radiesse is used for nasolabial folds, marionette lines, post rhinoplasty defects, jaw line, mental crease, chin and cheek augmentation. Results should last around 2 years.

Of the products we use for facial re-contours most are made with a colourless water based gel called Hyaluronic Acid (HA). HA is a naturally-occurring complex sugar found in most tissues of the human body. It plays a vital role in maintaining normal skin structure and function. Over time HA is gradually lost as the body ages and skin loses elasticity and volume, leaving the face with more prominent wrinkles and furrows, and loss of volume. After having HA, the skin looks fresher, younger, more hydrated, resulting in a smoother, more supple appearance. As well, it will preserve the moisture level in skin and boost tone.
As HA is not a collagen (derived from animal protein) no skin testing is required.

Some examples of Hyaluronic Acids are Juvederm, Teosyal, and Restylane.
